An award has been given out for Sheffield’s best public art – and these are the winners
A Yorkshire expression writ large on a prominent wall and a trail that has turned nondescript street furniture into colourful mini-murals have been named Sheffield’s best pieces of public art as a biennial award becomes an annual prize.

Sadly a fair few of Openreach’s (BT) green broadband and phone street cabinets in Sheffield (England) are “often targeted with graffiti.” In response the operator has joined with the Kelham Island and Neepsend Community Alliance (KINCA) to turn a number of them into “works of art” instead. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Read more
